You will join an elite team of 60 hands-on builders serving 1 billion students worldwide. If we execute on our product vision, you will have built something generational that transforms education globally.

Your mission
The problem you’ll solve: You’ll eliminate the operational friction that slows down a high-growth team, designing people systems that scale as we build the #1 AI learning platform for 1 billion students.

Your ownership: 
  • Own and build seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences that make every team member feel set up for success from day one.

  • Drive automation, AI tools, and process improvements across People Ops to reduce admin time and improve team efficiency.

  • Build and maintain scalable people systems - from payroll and compliance to visas and workplace experience - that empower our team to do their best work.

ou’ll create an environment where operational tasks run smoothly in the background - onboarding feels effortless, systems are reliable and scalable, and your peers feel fully supported to focus on high-impact work. The team will notice the difference in day-to-day efficiency, and you’ll be recognized as the person who quietly powers everything behind the scenes. Over time, your contributions will shape a People Ops function that’s not only future-ready, but gives us a real edge as we scale to serve millions more students.
Your story
You're someone who finds genuine satisfaction in making other people's work lives better through smart systems and seamless processes. You know the difference between helpful structure and processes that slow people down. When you see inefficient processes, you can't help but think of ways to streamline them or automate the repetitive parts entirely. You get satisfaction from resolving issues quickly and preventing future problems through smart system design. You don't accept "this is how we've always done it" but actively look for opportunities to do things better, faster and with less manual effort. You thrive in environments where you can own your work and implement improvements without endless approval chains. You prefer being evaluated on impact and results and you naturally balance attention to detail with understanding the bigger picture. 

What you bring:
- Experience in people operations, HR administration, or similar operational roles, ideally in fast-paced startup environments
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple processes, deadlines, and requests simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to see how individual processes fit into the bigger operational picture
- Experience with HRIS systems and comfort learning new tools and technologies quickly
- Knowledge of German employment law and EU regulations, or strong willingness to master these rapidly
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to find practical solutions to operational challenges
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain processes clearly to colleagues at all levels
- Adaptability to handle situations where there isn't a standard procedure and you need to figure out the best approach
- A service-oriented approach with genuine care for creating positive employee experiences
- Basic data analysis skills to track metrics and identify areas for operational improvement
- A positive, proactive attitude with genuine enthusiasm for taking on responsibility and owning important tasks
- Comfortable with the pace of startup life and thrive in dynamic environments where priorities can shift quickly
- A bias toward speed and execution - you're someone who loves to roll up your sleeves and get things done
- Fluency in English and German for compliance, documentation, and employee support


Nice to have:
- Experience with payroll systems and benefits administration
- Knowledge of visa/immigration processes
- Previous experience with AI tools or process automation
